Re: Is my house protected?

Maybe. Colorado has a homestead exemption for a person's primary residence up to $45,000.

If you have more equity or if the home is not your primary residence or used by your family, the house is not protected and they can file a judgment lien and try to foreclose on that lien. It is not easy, but it is possible.
