Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Colorado

Using likeness on television without consent

My face was used on Dateline NBC on Wednesday January 17. It was an investigative report about Ritalin. I had no knowledge and gave no consent. Is this legal?

Re: Using likeness on television without consent

The answer depends upon how and under what circumstances your photograph was created by the photographer, and acquired by Datline.

If you were one of many in a public gathering then you had no expectation of privacy and there is no legal wrong. If you were somehow mislead into providing a private photograph, the answer could be different.
