Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Colorado

permenat restraing order

About 5 years ago, I had a permanent restraing order placed on me. I agred to the temporary restraing order and later became permanent. I did not relize the consequences of having a restraing order. There was no domestic viloence and I fell that I was taken advantage over pursing a romantic relonship. The courts will not allow me to admend the court order. They told me that only the female in the case could admend. Is there anything I could do to change this court order? What would be your advice be since there are so many negative aspects regarding restraining order?

Re: permenat restraing order

You, or your attorney, may file a motion to dismiss the restraining order.

Success will depend upon your criminal history, your record of compliance with the terms of the restraining order, any voluntary work you've done to deal with domestic violence issues, and other factors.
