Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Colorado

salary mistake

i work for a private school. as a result of accounting mistakes i was overpaid by $2500. My employer wants to deduct $2500 from my contract amount for the new school year. First of all, i want to know am i legally obligated to pay the money back. Secondly, is it legal for the employer to deduct it from my salary?

Bank Error in Your Favor really only works in Monopoly. Of course you're not entitled to money you didn't earn. I imagine it would be hard to argue that you somehow didn't notice an extra $250 in your pay sock every month. Another lawyer may disagree (for your sake, I hope so).
