Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Colorado
If I am being threatened with a lawsuit in the amount of $14,000 in Arapahoe County Colorado, will I have to be served in person with court documents? The person threatening me with a suit is claiming I will receive an email I need to respond to and that doesn't sound right to me.
Thank you!

A plaintiff can ask the Court to authorize a substitute method of service, but I have never seen a judge accept an email in lieu of personal service.
