Legal Question in Immigration Law in Colorado
deportation
i have been charged with vehicular eluding causing bodily injury (it was only neck and back pain), my lawyer got me a deferred judgement with a 2 year probation and some social work if I plead guilty on vehicular eluding, would pleading guilty affect my status as a permanent resident, because I have read that if you plead guilty to a felony being a non-citizen, that is a collateral for deportation, because non-citizens can't plead guilty to felonies.
thank you very much

Re: deportation
You could be deportable if convicted of an "Aggravated Felony," which includes most drug or domestic violence related offenses. I would need to know the exact statute you are pleading to in order to render an opinion regarding whether or not it could make you deportable.
