Deportation and returning illegally
If an illegal alien is deported and then returns to the US illegally again, are they considered felons? If not, how severe are there actions.

An alien is considered a felon when he is convicted of a felony; yes, illegal reentry is a felony under federal law. The penalty if convicted is severe, but generally about 2-5 years in prison. You might want to check with a criminal lawyer in your area to make certain. Good luck!

Although entry to the U.S. without inspection after a deportation can be a crime, you are not considered a felon until convicted of a felony.
