My wife went under deportation proceedings in 1995, she finnally left the usa in 2006, I married her in 2001 we have 3 US children, where do I start to get her back? I have been told the I-130, then told it is a waste I need the freedom of information act to find out what penalty was given , then I need to file a Pardon, she has never commited a crime except for not going home when she was told to. please guide me in the right direction

If you are a US citizen and were married at the time your wife was deported, you should have been able to file an I-130 petition and she may have been eligible for relief. Without knowing more, I can not advise on a course of action so many years later. I suggest you meet with an immigration attorney.
