Legal Question in Immigration Law in Colorado

Immigrtation

I am intent to file for Citizenship.

I filed joint incomtax for years 2005 and 2006 with my husband and his debts are now mine too. However I did not work during those years.

My husband send the form ''Innocent Spouse'' to IRS but it was denied.

Could this effect negative my process to get US Citizenship?

Re: Immigrtation

Dear Inquirer:

As long as you do not owe any taxes and always file your income taxes, you should be fine. If you are filing for citizenship under the three-year rule for spouses of US Citizens, you should be prepared to present evidence that you are still living together as husband and wife to qualify.
