Legal Question in Employment Law in Colorado
Privacy violations and defamation of character
If a previous employer shows my application to other employees letting them see it and trashing my name while doing this, is there any legal action that can be taken?
Is this violating my privacy and trashing my reputation (defamation of character)?
Thanks!

Re: Privacy violations and defamation of character
This is not a violation of privacy, unless your application contains information of a personal or private nature (such as medical history, or social security number). However, if your former employer is saying things about you that are untrue and have caused damage to you, then this may be defamation.
