Legal Question in Employment Law in Colorado
I started with a company and had to sign an agreement saying that if I quit I had to stay for 30 days. I put in my notice 2 weeks ago, agreeing and planning and staying the 30 days. Now, two weeks after my notice they just said today is my last day. Can they do that? If I had to agree to stay 30 days, then they have to agree to keep me right? Please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you

The answer requires review of this agreement. An agreement can be �unilateral� meaning that they can require that you provide that notice and agree to stay that period of time, but does not require them to be bound by that term. This may be allowed, depending on the terms of the agreement.
