Two Week Notice
Can employer with hold your last pay check if you do not give the employer a two week notice before quitting?

No. They have to have your last check ready when you leave, or if the payroll office is located in a separate location/or closed - they have to have the check ready within 24 hours. There are penalties for violating these statutes.

No, the employer cannot withhold your final paycheck because you give less than two weeks notice. If you quit, the employer does not have to give you your check until the next regular payday. People who are fired must be given their paycheck generally by the next day.
