Legal Question in Employment Law in Colorado
I worked for a company for 3 & 1/2 years and suffered abuse for appx the last year before I was terminated without being given a reason. When I looked into the law I found that I was also misclassified as contract labor when my job description falls under all categories for 'employee'.

Sorry about losing the job. Did you have a contract that provided they can only fire you for good cause? If you dont have a contract then you have what is termed at-will employment. That means the employee or employer may terminate the employment relationship with or without cause at any time, with or without advance notice.
Therefore, they dont need a reason and can terminate you even if the reason is baseless. Absent other facts that indicate that this termination was wrongful because you had a contract that only allowed good cause termination or this was termination was in violation of public policy (race, gender, religion, so on), you do not appear to have a good case for wrongful termination. The issue of misclassification may be relevant. You don't describe what this abuse is about.
It is strongly recommended that you contact a local attorney to review this matter.
