Legal Question in Employment Law in Colorado

I worked for Walk Tall Llp. for 181.5 hr. @ $14.00 hr. that equals $ 2,541.00 and still have not been paid for any of my work. On 04/29/2011 I received a check for the amount of $983.08 that bounced. I have sent a certified letter to them ( Formal Notice of Dishonored Instrument ) with no response about the non-sufficient funds. I have gone to the Department of Labor and non-sufficient Division of Labor for a Request for Mediation with no response. On August 10th. they offered $ 1100.57 one time if I did not take this offer and sign there Settlement Agreement paper work I would not see any of my money or any other offer. Do I have a case? Thank you for your time.

Whether you have a good case is the relevant question. That depends on if you are a statutory employee or a contractor, the terms of your agreement, why they claim that you are not owed the full amount (this depends on the agreement terms and possible claims faulty work), so on.

Contact an attorney and provide them all facts so you can make an informed decision on whether to accept their offer or file suit.
