Re: Wrongful Termination

Colorado is an at-will employment state. That means, with a few exceptions, you may be fired for any or no reason. Some of the exceptions are discrimination based on age, disability, race, national origin, sex or religion. There are a few other reasons an employer can't fire you, such as if they fire you because you refused to commit an illegal act the employer requested you do, or fired you in retaliation for making a workers compensation claim, etc. There is no legal claim named "wrongful termination." This is a general answer only; it does not cover all possible causes of action for being fired.
