Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Colorado

What forms to Sue Somebody Who Owes You Money

What legal forms do I need to fill out for somebody who borrowed money from me and hasn't paid me back. This is between two individuals. I want to sue then and try to get my money back. The money owed to me is $28,000. I looked at this website findlegalforms but not sure what I need to obtain to file in a county court in Colorado. I assume it will be collection doc.

Thanks

If the amount at issue is $28,000 it is in district court not county court. As to forms you need to file a complaint and make your claims. Collection documents only relate to when you prevail in your suit. They have nothing to do with the claim.

I would advise that you talk to an attorney since district court is complex and failing to make an appropriate complaint and remedies will hurt your case. Good luck.
