Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Colorado
I got a job at these apartments for maitenece. I got to live rent free. They never gave me a lease agreement so I quit and now are kicking me out I only get 3 days to be out. Is no lease given illegal and can they evict me that soon?

You had a verbal lease whereby you were allowed to live in the apartment while you worked there. It doesn't have to be in writing. When you quit the job, you ended your lease just as you would when you don't pay rent under a traditional lease. I think the landlord has a solid argument that you got exactly the notice you are entitled to. Given that you were given an apartment in exchange for doing the job, what makes you think you have a right to the apartment when you quit the job?
If the landlord had terminated your employment then I believe you would be entitled to 7 days notice of termination before the three day notice. However, if you quit then you should have realized that you weren't upholding your part of the agreement for the apartment any longer.
The landlord will have to go to court for an eviction order if you're still there after the 3 day notice so you can drag this out another couple weeks or so, but you cannot reasonably expect to continue to live there for free after you stopped doing work. You're a squatter at this point. You need to figure out where you are going to move to.
