Re: landlord breaches lease
Generally, the landlord is allowed to sell the house to another person. However, the new owner of the house will be obligated to honor your lease. The new owner of the house simply becomes the new landlord. If the new owner refuses to honor the lease, however, you may have a right to terminate the lease early. Either way, provided that you did not cause any damage to the house while living there, you are entitled to get your security deposit back when the lease expires.
