Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Colorado
Hello. My neighbors claim my husband broke their side view mirror of there van and they want us to pay. The police was call at the moment of the incident and they never told us to pay or give any tickets since there was no actual prove. My husband didn't do it and now the landlord and my neighbors are harassing me to pay her oldest daughter even try to fight me I'm not sure what to do. Do I have to pay ? I wish I could move but I can't really afford to

If people are physically threatening you, you might consider filing for a restraining order. You have no legal obligation to pay for damage your husband did. You can reside in the property until your lease is up, although the landlord has no obligation to renew your lease when it ends. If your neighbors believe they can convince a court that your husband caused the damage, they can sue him.
