There is a two year statute of limitations for medical malpractice claims in Colorado, the case must be filed within two years of the alleged negligence or you forever lose your right to do so. If the harm was not discovered until after the two year period, then an additional year may be allowed but under no circumstances will a malpractice claim be allowed more than three years after the negligent care. Other time limitations may apply.
