Legal Question in Military Law in Colorado

deserter

My son has a friend who has gone awol for the second time, the first time he was awol for 92 days, and the second time he was awol for 45 days, he was still in SOI and still under student status, he has told me that shortly after he sighed up he could not forfill his moral commitment and does not want to let another marine down in combat, he feels his only option was to go UA, what will happen to him?

do you believe he may have other options besides running away?

Re: deserter

Sounds like he's a Marine.

The Marine Corps can be tough on UA cases, especially when it's happened more than once.

Pendleton or Lejeune?

Maybe a CO situation, but difficult under the possible circumstances.
