Hazing
If I was forced to watch my memorial service, one month befor my second deployment, would it be considered hazing? If no then what is it?

It was motivation to keep your head down and your eyes open while you're in a combat zone. It may be in poor taste, but nothing says what the military does has to be pretty. If it made a point with you, then it did a good thing.
