Legal Question in Personal Injury in Colorado
my friend was at the gas station, car parked, she was not in the car, when the other person parked in front of her car went to leave and backed into my friends car. No witnessess and the store cameras do not work. This other person calls her own insurance co. and tells them that my friend hit her car and now the insurance co. called my friend and tells her that she owes them $700.00 and that she better get an attorney and so on.... the police went to my friends job 2 hours after said incident & gives her a copy of their report that the other person gave them. my friend didn't get to say anything re: report. does my friend have to pay anything? i told her no she did not that the insurance co. was just trying to scare her, etc. there is no proof either way. she is not responsible. is this correct? my friend cannot afford legal counsel and she is scared. can you pls. answer this question? thank you so very much.
