Legal Question in Personal Injury in Colorado
I was involved in an vehicle accident. The other driver ran a red light. He was drunk and high on drugs.
The vehicle belonged to his mother. He was not on the policy. Is the mothers insurance responsible for paying for the vehicle and medical bills? They are telling that they are not because he was not listed on the policy.

The issues you raise are very fact specific, and it's difficult for me to give you a definitive answer based on the information in your question. There is a good chance we can find coverage, but the answer will turn on the policy language, the age of the at-fault driver, the residence of the at-fault driver, and the circumstances under which he came into possession of his mother's car. I'm not at all surprised the insurance company is denying your claim. If you'd like to talk, I'd be happy to offer you a free consultation to determine if we can help you.
Sincerely,
