Legal Question in Personal Injury in Colorado

I recently fell for a scam, responding to an ad in newspaper for at-home job typing medical form data, and paying $319 for software training. After talking to my "personal, one-on-one support person," I realized it had to be a scam. She was verbally abusive, daring me to challenge anything she said. The so-called software was delivered to my door, requiring signature, two days after my conversation with her. My reason for calling her was that I had not received the product within the allotted, promised time. I was not at home at time of USPS delivery, and I do not want to accept delivery now that I know this offer cannot be legitimate. Do I have any recourse in recovering my money? She is refusing a refund. The original phone number to reply to ad no longer exists.

Please help me know where to begin to see that this doesn't happen to anyone else. I do not know what area of law this entails.
