Legal Question in Personal Injury in Colorado

Reimbursement Of Expenses In Slip & Fall Case

I had a slip & fall accident in a reputed Colorado Hotel which resulted in a shattered wrist. Surgery had to be performed and a plate had to be inserted. There is permenant damage restricting mobility of the wrist to about 60%. I will also require a surgery after 9 months to remove the plate and a procedure after some 10 years to allivate an artheritic condition which will almost certainly follow according to the Doctor's report. The surgery was performed in the US and future surgeries will also have to performed here as India does not have the tool, skills or Doctors with the desired level of specialization to perform these kind of specialized operations. In addition to medical costs, I will also incur travel costs and hotel costs. Am I entitled to recover these costs assuming that it is found that the hotel was responsible for the condition that caused the fall? What other damages can I recover?

Thanks

Re: Reimbursement Of Expenses In Slip & Fall Case

You should expect and demand fair compensation for all medical expenses, lost wages and income, travel and lodging expenses incurred as a result of the injury, interest on all out-of-pocket monies, pain and suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, etc. etc. Wrists can be particularly troublesome, from a medical perspective. You certainly should seek future contingency funding for later medical expenses that you may incur as a result of the latent onset of problems such as arthritis, which can be crippling. I would recommend consulting with an attorney.

I would be more than happy to chat with you in more detail about your case if you would like. If for some reason we can't assist you, I would be happy to refer you to several other reputable firms.

Very truly yours, Peter W. Thomas
