Legal Question in Personal Injury in Colorado

today while at the city a man asked if i could him with a load. i agreed. while helping this man out he let go of his end to reposiyion his leg. he dropped his side causing me to drop my side, crushing my hand and severing the tip of my middle finger, and badly crushing the tip of my ring finger. the ring finger tip may not be able to be saved, therefore this accident could have possibly caused me to lose two fingertips. the man is employed at a local fence building business, and was working while this happened. do i have a case against the company?

If the man was working for the company at the time of the incident, then you potentially have a claim against the man and the company. The man could have been working for the company as an independent contractor or as an employee. Some investigation will need to be undertaken to make that determination. If he was an independent contractor, you probably will not have a claim against the company. I would be happy to talk to you in further detail. You may call me at 303.861.1042.
