Legal Question in Product Liability in Colorado
Automotive Repair
If an automotive technician is working on a car and a part is broken on the car during the repair, who is liable for the cost of that part. The technician or the business? If the technician is not liable can the business still make him pay for that part?

Re: Automotive Repair
The business would be liable, but only if the part was broken as a result of negligence by the technician. If it broke because it was already defective due to manufacture or wear, liability would revert to the manufacturer or the owner of the car.
