Abandon Undeveloped Land

I am the personal representative for my father's estate. He owned a small undeveloped lot in Colorado. It appears to be worthless. What are the ramifications of abandoning the property? Not paying taxes. What options do I have?

If the property is "abandoned", and the taxes assessed are not paid, it will likely be subject to a tax sale

and sold to the highest bidder at auction.
