Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Colorado
date of transaction
My sister quit claimed her interest in our Colorado cabin to my wife.
The sale on the quit claim deed was dated July 1 2008. That was also when my wife paid her. My sister didn't get her signature notarized till Aug. 8, 2008. What is the leagel date of the transaction?

This question relates to a property located in Colorado and since I do not practice in Colorado, I can not advice on Colorado law. In Florida, the Courts would most likely consider August 8, 2008 to be the transaction date.
