Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Colorado

What if the co owners don't pay property tax on land we own in undivided interest? There are 10 of us with a total of 320 acres of ag land that own different portions of a ranch. One person has paid for the taxes over the years and is no longer able to. Nobody else wants to pitch in. What can she do legally?

Robert Murillo Pivotal Legal Ltd.

This person could and likely should file for a partition. The court will then adjudicate the contributions due and offsets related to the property.

Instead of all ten of you incurring the cost and time involved in a partition, you should contact an attorney and draft a written co-tenancy agreement.
