Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Colorado

Property Liens...

A few years ago I used my huse to get my brother out of some trouble with a bail bondsman. The bondsman attached liens to my house. We paid the bondsman in full and he didn't remove the liens. Now the bondsmans license has been revoked and he is nowhere to be found. I've been to the courthouse numerous times with no luck. I cannot afford an attorney to file a quiet title action. My house is about to get foreclosed on because I cannot refinance due to the liens. I have called all of his old numbers and went to his place of business and his house and he is nowhere to be found. I have a call into the Colorado division of insurance where his license was revoked to see if they have more info.

Re: Property Liens...

Hello,

You need to act quickly especially if this has proceeded to foreclosure. You can file an action to show cause claiming these liens are spurious under Rule 105.1 and should be declared invalid. These actions can be done on an expedited basis.

Do not wait. If you cannot afford an attorney for full representation, then consider asking for limited scope representation. We have offered this to clients on occasion depending on the matter and the facts.

I would strongly advise that you proceed with the courts as soon as possible and contact legal counsel.
