Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Colorado
what are my rights
i recently bought a house and the inspector missed several significant problems. I called him and he stated he never noted these problems in his report, but contractors doing work in my house noticed it all right away and have addressed some of the issues - like my support beams for my deck were angled and shifting losing support, as well as most significantly now is my retaining wall collapsed only 3 weeks after purchase and driveway is not stable now. Can I or who do I contact to address these issues?
Any help or info is greatly appreciated.

Re: what are my rights
Afternoon,
Colorado does not require the licensing of home inspectors so there is no regulatory authority where you can file a complaint.
Try to come to some resolution with the inspector, if possible. See if this inspector was certified through NACHI because they have a dispute resolution service. A discussion is online at http://www.nachiadrs.com/.
If they are not certified by NACHI or a similar association with some ADR process and you can't come to a resolution, you will need to proceed against them in court. Review the contract for any terms on ADR or waiver and read that carefully.
Contact an attorney to review if you have a case. Good luck.
