A Summons to respond to the plantiffs allegations

I received a summons to respond to a plantiffs allegations of wrong doing. There were a total of 10 depfendants named including me. My question is how do i respond to this summons, it is 77 pages long and has 494 specific line items. Do i just give a general answer to the allegations or do i have to address each and every line item that pertains to me.

You need to speak with an attorney before you file an answer. You need to respond appropriately and provide all affirmative defenses. You may also have counter or cross claims.

This is not something for you to do without advice. If you cannot afford full representation, you can get advice of an attorney to assist you as a pro se defendant. They do not enter an appearance in your case. This is considerably less expensive.
