Accuracy of measuring skid marks
How accurate is measuring skid marks left at an accident scene, in determining your speed prior to impact?
Please give a percentage of accuracy.

Unfortunatly there are no hard statistics for this sitaution. However, using skid marks to detrmine the facts of an accident leaves alot up to reasonable doubt, and with the right lawyer, many loopholes can be found. There are lots of ways to use the skid marks to determine speed. The police often do it wrong. There can be plenty of play in the actual speed. There is a lot of research on this subject because there are lots of accidents in the world. No percentages that I know.
