Legal Question in Traffic Law in Colorado
civil suit because the guy does not like the amount my insurance company is offe
Car accident, 2 cars, minor injuries, no medical treatment for either party (not an injury case) I was ticketed (careless driving)other party was not. The guy suing me is her dad (she's 19, I think) he's p.o.'ed because he wants more money than my insurance company is offering. I have full coverage. My insurance company is judging me 75% at fault, her 25% becuase she was driving way too fast around a blind curve. He's suing for $4000.00. mainly because he needs to replace her car, which was totalled. Should I get a lawyer?

Re: civil suit because the guy does not like the amount my insurance company is
Hello:
As long as you had insurance at the time of the accident, you will be in a good position here. Your insurance company has a duty to provide an attorney for you to defend you on these charges. The attorneys that insurance companies provide are usually pretty good. This will save you the thousands of dollars that it would cost to hire your own attorney. I recommend that you contact your insurance company and get more details.
I hope this answer helps you. David Colt
