Legal Question in Traffic Law in Colorado
DWR and DUI in a parking lot
My stupid brother-in-law got charged with a DWR and DUI in a parking lot (he was ''helping'' a friend move a car). I would personally like to see him go to jail, but he told me that he could get out of it because a parking lot is considered private property, and therefore can't be charged with at least the DWR. Please tell me that's not the case...

not sure why you get such pleasure out of this, but DUI can be charged anywhere in the state, private or public, DUR requires that a person drive on the highway (any public road).
