Legal Question in Traffic Law in Colorado
Entrapment via Camera
Is there a law in CO that protects drivers from entrapment in the event that they are served a ticket with out posted notification that speed law was enforced via camera and ticketing was applied for speed?

Re: Entrapment via Camera
Good Morning,
The law does require that there be a posted sign so many feet (Off the top of my head, I do not know the exact number of feet) before the location where the camera radar is set up. I am assumming that your ticket was received in Denver because Denver seems to be the majority user of photo radar tickets. The sign must be visible to on-coming traffic. If the sign was not set up, then the radar operator was not following the law and the ticket may be dismissed.
I hope this information helps you. David Colt
