Legal Question in Traffic Law in Colorado
Insurance Database
The other driver was at fault in a recent car wreck. I was able to get a copy of the police report. His insurance is listed as no proof. I know that Colorado has a database of auto insurance holders. I have tried to call him and he has not returned my calls. My insurance co. has done the same. Before I sue him I need to know if he is insured. How can I do this?
Thanks.

Re: Insurance Database
You can check with the Colorado DMV to get that information.
Write the other driver asking for the insurance information at the time of the accident. Send it by certified mail. Even if no response you can still sue and get the info upon discovery.
You should contact a personal injury lawyer to represent you.
