Legal Question in Traffic Law in Colorado

No insurance lawsuit for being registered owner of vehicle.

Family aquintance wrecks vehicle registered by me. No insurance on vehicle due to it being transferred to newly purchased vehicle. Accident occured couple days after transfer. No permission or knowledge of third party driving my vehicle that day until after accident. $3500 damage to other vehicle hit at our fault. My car totaled. Later supena to appear for uninsured damages. Supena left at mothers house, not delivered to me. I did not appear. help

You need legal representation. There is probably a bench warrant issued for your failure to appear.

It is never too late to appear and have the bench warrant dismissed. If you don't, and they nab you, you will go to jail and have to post a large bond.

Don't avoid this. Go to the issuing court with legal counsel and sort the matter out.

Also, most insurance policies have a 30 day grace period for the purchase of a new vehicle which covers that vehicle. Check your policy.
