Letting a friend drive my insured/owned vehicle
What happens to me if my unlicensed friend gets in a vehicle accident while driving a car - licensed and insured in my name?

You run the risk of being sued for the negligent entrustment of a motor vehicle to an unqualified/unlicensed driver.

Other than the risk of a lawsuit, you probably do not have any criminal or traffic concerns. If you are approached by the police or an investigator, you should probably consult a lawyer first. If you did not know that the friend was unlicensed, then you are in a better position. You should read your car insurance policy to see if it will cover you under these circumstances.
