Legal Question in Traffic Law in Colorado

License

I recently got pulled over and they arrested me because they said my licens was revoked. I never got any notice of any kind to be aware that i had no licens. How do i find out about this and what can i do when i go to court?

Notice is required. If you had a physical DL with you while driving, it shows that you had a reason to believe that you could drive. DMV is supposed to send a letter informing you to the address they have for you. If you moved and did not update, then that may explain it. But, sometimes DMV screws up. The DA will have a copy of the letter sent.

Often, DA will dismiss if you can get a valid DL. IF you are eligible, go to DMV and get one.

If this does not work, get an attorney and go to trial. They cannot prove that you knew you were revoked beyond a reasonable doubt.
