Legal Question in Traffic Law in Colorado

I am a truck driver I was in colorado and was driving and was trying to change lanes and i had my signel light on and looked in the mirrors and did not see any one, i was barley moving when I hit a vehicle with my drive steer tire, the damage on her vehicle was only $500 she called the police and i recieved a careless driving tickets, which now my company let me go until it is cleared up, is there anything I can do to get the ticket removed or lowered from careless?

You can hire a traffic defense attorney to help. Depending on your driving history your ticket can be reduced to either a 2 point violation or a 1 point violation after you take a defensive driving class. Sometimes it can be lowered to a 0 point violation. You will have to pay some fines and costs. The results also depends on if your ticket is in City or State court.
