Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Colorado

Adopted Away Son Listed as an Heir

The personal rep for my father's estate, which is intestate, had his lawyer list my father's adopted away son as an heir. Will the court question this since this son has a different last name, or is it up to me to file something stating that this adopted away son is not legally an heir?

Re: Adopted Away Son Listed as an Heir

I am not sure what you mean by "adopted away son", but there may be a legal issue as to whether he is a legal heir or not. Give me a call and we can talk further to determine if he is truly a legal heir. (No charge for the call).
