Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Colorado
Who do you contact in Colorado when someone's Mom died, no will.
She has a home that is paid for and a few outstanding bills. I gather is goes to the
state to be the executor, but where would you find that info?
Thank you
Tammy

There is an order of priority for who gets to be executor when there is no will - first is spouse, then kids. You apply to the court to be appointed executor and then can deal with the estate. We help people do this state-wide, as its a lot of paperwork and hoops to jump through. The estate should pay any legal fees and costs. You can call me for a free consultation if you would like help.
