How should I designate the benificiaries on my insurance policies to make sure my wishes are carried out?

Here are the steps to follow:

1. Have your attorney synchronize the beneficiary designations with the provisions of your Will.

2. Confirm that the beneficiary designations match what your attorney and you decide to provide.

3. Update your Will and make sure that the dispositive provisions in the Will match your current objectives.
