Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Colorado

My best friend passed away and told me I was to be the trustee of his accounts to make sure his daughter receives everything when she turns 18. His sister that he did not like or trust is saying she is the executor of his estate. How do I find out who has what power?

You will need to examine the Will and trust of your friend. These documents should have been in his possession when he died. If the sister is uncooperative, then consider filing a Demand for Notice with the Probate Court.
