Intestate Laws-Biological Children Adopted Away

My father had a son over 43 years ago. He let his former wife's new husband adopt this son. Now that my father has passed away and left no will, is this son entitled to any of my father's estate?

If this son was adopted by his step-father, he is no longer legally considered your father's son for these purposes. He would not be considered your father's heir.
