Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Colorado

My mother died in July of 2006 with no will. Her husband died in August of 2006. I paid for his funeral. He had no family so their house sat vacant until July of 2012. I believe it was auctioned. Can I get reimbursed for the funeral costs from the bank that bought the house?
