Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Colorado

We just moved from Virginia to Colorado and I need to know if our wills, power of attorneys, and medical directives, etc from VA are valid in CO? Thanks, Annie

The basic rule is that if those documents were created as required under your state law they remain effective in your new state. Now, that said, you may be best off getting new materials if certain facts and circumstances change.
